*PERSONAL PERSPECTIVES ON VAMPIRISM*

Section 1 : Beliefs and Definitions
Define vampire and vampirism.
Vampire- to me is not a fictional character but a living breathing person that has inherited genes which not many have. I say this because I inherited my vampiric genes. It is not someone that can be made, it is someone born a vampire.
Vampirism- Something that a person can develop. It is a psychological disorder which is named in such glossaries. To me however, Some can develop vampiric traits from drinking blood or learning the energy transfer processes, which technically makes them a vampire, but they truely aren't. This practice can be changed. If you were born a Vampire, then this process isn't reversible.
Would you define vampires as human or non-human?
Do you believe that there's more than one kind vampire? If so, what do you think those kinds are and what defines them?
Yes. There are only two. Sanguinarian, & Psionic. Basically Blood and Energy types.
Sexual types are just basically one of the two types that want to feed that way, atleast I think so.
Section 2 : Traits
Do you believe vampires are born, made, or some of each?
Yes. Born only.
Do you believe non-vampires can be turned into vampires?
If you think non-vampires can be turned into vampires how might that be accomplished?
I don't believe that non-vampires can be turned into vampires. I think that if they drink enough blood or play around with energy (learning it) they will develop the traits but it is reversible. Real vampires can't be reversed.
Do you think there are certain traits that all vampires share. What are they? If a self-proclaimed vampire doesn't exhibit these traits how would you classify them?
Yes. We all need Pranic energy, Sang vampires just tend to take that energy in blood. I laugh abit at "wannabe's" because they try so hard but will never be the same as us. These are called Lifestylers. Which if that's what they want to do then good for them, just please don't make the real Vampires look bad.
Section 3 : Sang~Psi~Self-Perception
How do you know you're a vampire, or if you're not, what would make you think someone else was one?
I was born a Psi Vampire. All the women in my family inherit the it. If someone asked me, what makes me a vampire, I would have to say, I exibit several if not all of the traits of a Psi vamp. Psi vampires can hide a bit easier than a Sang vampire can. We don't need to take in blood, we mainly take in energy.
If your definitions include "energy," define "energy." If
not, what do you believe the vampire draws sustenance from?
Ah the question of energy. Energy is all around us, more energy in storms, less energy in other things. It's all about raising the energy or taking in the energy that is provided.
Have you ever consumed blood? If so, how does doing so effect you?
Nope. I don't drink blood. Hence again as I've said, I'm a Psi vampire.
Do you believe in "psychic/psionic" abilities? If so, do you think vampires have enhanced abilities in this area?
Yes. I have them myself. I have more enhanced abilities than a normal psychic would have.
Do you beleive that all vampires need to consume blood or that some can feed by tapping energy directly(psionically)?
Yes, as I said above. Sang-Blood, Psi-Energy.
Section 4 : Spiritual and Social
Do you follow a particular spiritual path and if so what is it?
Yes. I am a Strega. (Stregherian Italian Witch) I'm from a famiglia boschetto (family coven). We have been Strega for as far back as our family tree goes.
Does your spiritualiy or religion have any relationship to vampirism? Do you believe that vampirism has a religious context or is a religion?
I as well as my family in the past, have integrated our Vampiric abilities into our magic for as long as we can remember.
Do you believe in physical immortality, and if so can vampires be immortal? What about spiritual immortality?
No, that is only in movies. Noone has "Physical Immortality." Spiritual immortality yes. I happen to believe in reincarnation. A Vampyric soul never changes from that, it is always vampiric as far as I know.
What do you think would be the ideal relationships between vampires and society? What do you see the real realationship between vampires and society as being?
I personally just want to be left alone. I'm not a sideshow, therefore don't treat me like one. The real relationship between vampires and society is that if people actually (as a whole) began to see us for what we are, it would be a witch burning all over again. Face it, most Wiccans don't even accept us still. I have seen spells online to destroy a "psychic vampire", as they put it. Again, wiccans are starting to accept us more, but still alot don't. Even most Christians think we are possessed. That just doesn't sound encouraging does it? We are a long way from being seen "Just like everyone else" and we need to accept that. If I let people around here know publically that I was a witch, (which I do) there would be no problem. But oh no, if I say "Yep I'm a Vampire" here, and watch what happens. AND I live in a bigger city. You would see someone try to commit me even. What I'm getting at is, we strive for awareness, we strive for acceptance, but personally from my perspective, why can't we just be left alone?
Do you think there should be an overall community or organisation for all vampires? If so how should it be structured? If not, why not?
I'm all for organizations & communities, but we have to remember, vampires can't be ruled over. It is simply not in our blood to be. We by nature, are territorial and it shows. Look how many houses, covens, organizations, communities, etc. there are. Diversity is a good thing, even if there is as many groups as there are states. :)
